This broadcast is intended for US healthcare providers involved in the treatment of obesity.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Join a multidisciplinary expert panel as they recognize the urgency to accept obesity as a chronic, progressive, relapsing, and treatable multifactorial disease that is associated with weight-related comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease (CVD). They establish the need to manage weight and cardiovascular risk in people with obesity or overweight and CVD. They discuss and provide insights on efficacy and safety data from a cardiovascular outcomes trial (CVOT), as well as from selected chronic weight management trials.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Establish the link between CVD and obesity
- Discuss the efficacy and safety data for a GLP-1 RA from a CVOT and relevant trials for chronic weight management in adults
